29

First of all, I just want to say a BIG THANK YOU to those of you who have been praying for me and for the Japanese people.   We are seeing God move in ways that we could never have imagined.  BUT thankfully.. it's just like God to be completely miraculous and in control when we are weak and faithless.

Well, today you have something to praise God for!  We have 29 new brothers and sisters in Christ!   Since June 1st 29 people have decided to let Jesus Christ take control of their lives and let the glory of His name be the hope and focus of their lives.  I don't know about you, but this gives me a reason to praise God!!! Over these last couple of months it has become so obvious to us how insignificant we all are and how incapable we are of doing anything here, but God is moving and He is calling the Japanese people to Himself.  We are just servants trying to be obedient and we don't even succeed in that at times.

Just an update about Joshua.. He has taken Jesus Christ to his university.  He is telling the club he belongs to about his decision.  He is being an obedient witness and sharing his testimony to other Japanese.  He is repenting of his old ways and reading God's Word.  IT'S AMAZING!!!
We are meeting on Wednesday night so please be praying for him and our Bible Study.

More exciting news.

My friend was leading a team in Shibuya (where we live) where we give free 5 minute English lessons to interested Japanese.   She caught the attention of one young woman and they went through the prepared english lesson and then she brought up Jesus and Christianity.   They talked for a while about it and the lady's response was "There aren't many Christians in Japan.  We are very Buddhist.. but I hear that there is a Christian movement happening in Shibuya.."

ummm... need I say more?  This means that it is not just us telling Japanese people about Jesus and Christianity.  It's Japanese people telling other Japanese people about Jesus and Christianity!!  A Christian movement is happening in Shibuya.. IN THE CENTER OF TOKYO!
and it is only going to spread like in 1 Thessalonians 1.. God is so awesome!

If you are needing something to pray for please read the following:
Waka-son :  Waka-son and I met in Yoyogi Park on Saturday and we are meeting again on Friday.  She is so eager and excited to see me again.  Please pray that Father speaks directly through me and that she is open and receptive to whatever He may want me to say.

Joshua:  That he keeps growing and reading and witnessing to his friends and family.  We are meeting on Wednesday so please pray for that meeting.

E-son:  She is very close to salvation.  My friends have been meeting with her 2 times a week for more than a month and she is "trying to put the puzzle together".  She said that her heart believes but her mind is having trouble.  Please pray that the Holy Spirit just takes her over.

The Interns:  we are going to have a VERY BUSY next couple of weeks.  For 10 days we will be in charge of 189 volunteers.  This begins next week so please pray for patience and endurance and GOOD SLEEP.

Thank you all so much!

I love you all!
Please email me if you ever want to talk!

Thank you so much for updating!

It is always incredible to hear how God is moving there. So much so that people are calling it a "Christian Movement". That is so great Erin! I am so pumped about that.

Also thank you for putting the information about those three situations to pray for. That is helpful because it feels a lot better if i can pray for someone specifically you know.
So keep me updated with people to pray for.

Thanks again for being such a light for Him over there! You are really a huge encouragement.

Oh and how incredibly awesome is it that 29 people have come to know Him !! Wow. That is so great!

Ok Erin, keep up the great work.

Shine bright.

Erin,
seriously the things that you are doing are just amazing, and it's plain to see that God is just doing some great things through you. On a slightly different note, your blogs are always interesting and delightful to read. (and it was really cool talking to you via skype today) Hope everything continues to go well!
